WHAT IS COACHING?
Let’s start by saying that Coaching is not Counselling or Therapy.
Whereas Counselling focuses on getting you back on your feet (healing past traumas, stopping self-destructive behaviour, working through painful feelings), Coaching assumes you are already upright and merely in need of
guidance and support in bringing about a desired change (whether that be in work, at home, in a relationship or otherwise).
Coaching helps you to realise that there is more to life than the status quo and it is achievable.
Whatever your version of a happy and healthy life looks like, Coaching helps you to:
- Get clear on your vision for each aspect of your life
- Map out the steps you need to take to get you there.
- Identify any obstacles standing in your way
- Re-build your confidence, self-esteem and value

From our two hours together (90 mins + 30 mins follow up session), you will:

What is Braving Boundaries’ mission?
Braving Boundaries’ mission is to empower legal professionals to be happier and healthier by creating a fulfilling balance between the professional and personal.
What form of coaching does Braving Boundaries offer?
We offer Whole Person Coaching®, a coaching method focused on you as a “whole person”, not just as a lawyer. It is based on the premise that when you come to know, embrace and express all aspects of yourself as a “whole person”, you can easily and effectively draw upon your own wisdom to overcome stumbling blocks and position yourself to thrive in any sphere of life.
We focus on your current life, looking to create a new future. The process is goal and solution oriented, and is driven by you, since you are the expert when it comes to your own life.
So, it’s not the same as executive coaching or leadership coaching?

Is the Braving Boundaries programme the same for everyone?
No. Our one-on-one coaching sessions are personalised to your needs and requirements – there is nothing bog-standard about this programme.
How does the Braving Boundaries coaching process work?
Every engagement will start with a discovery session: Basic Balance. This is a two-hour session divided into an initial 90-minute session, followed by a 30-minute session. It’s a fun and enlightening session where we get back to basics. We will discover where you are currently at in your life; what is and what is not in balance; and what a happy, healthy and fulfilling life means to you. After completion of Basic Balance, and once we have determined that we are a good fit for the coaching process, you will have the opportunity to select a programme or package that best suits your needs. Further details of the programmes and packages will be sent to you following completion of the Basic Balance session. Each programme focuses on working towards achieving your goals using the Braving Boundaries process.
What is the Braving Boundaries process?
The Braving Boundaries process focuses on three core transition phases: Believe, Brave, and Balance. No session is the same. The Braving Boundaries Process acts as a guide, but the focus of the coaching sessions is driven by you and your needs.
COST AND DURATION
Will you stay in close contact with me during the process?
Absolutely! Between sessions, you have access to me via email (anytime) or by phone (by appointment) to raise any questions or share any triumphs or challenges you have faced in the interim period.
How long does the coaching relationship last?
Since you are fully in control of the coaching process, the duration is up to you. As a general rule of thumb, the coaching relationship tends to last for between three and six months, with an average of four sessions a month.
How much will coaching cost?
Coaching is an investment in yourself and your future.
Every engagement will start with the Basic Balance session (a two-hour session divided into an initial 90-minute session, followed by a 30-minute session). This session is priced as an introductory offer and costs £149. Please click here for more information on Basic Balance.
Thereafter, the cost of coaching will depend on what you want to achieve from the coaching sessions; the amount of effort you are capable of putting into the coaching process both during and in between sessions; and the time period over which you want my one-on-one support.
